The basics of a go Kart vehicle

In a go kart, the approved chassis are either “Straight” or “Open”. In “Straight” chassis the driver sits in the central position and such type of chassis is generally used for sprint racing. The other variety of chassis, the “Offset” one, is normally used for left turn speedway racing where the driver sits on the left hand side. Under different circumstances, the flexibility of the chassis plays a dominant role while racing. Kris from Go Karts Central says a stiffer chassis is preferred under dryer conditions and on dirt tracks while in wetter conditions or on roads having poor traction, a more flexible chassis is favored. Chassis of excellent quality permits stiffening bars to be placed at the rear end, front and side which could be dismantled according to the racing conditions.
