Importance of Internships
One of the greatest things I learned while I was in college was how important internships are. It’s one thing to learn how to do something, and it’s a whole other animal to actually go at and apply what you’ve learned. This is where internships pay off. During an internship, students are able to build contacts, get great work experience, and actually learn about themselves as well. For example, while my brother was in an internship, he realized that he didn’t enjoy the work he was doing and ended up changing his major. This is much better than figuring that out after college.
