My son is in high school and is learning to play the guitar.  He has been taking his guitar to one of his friends houses and they go over the guitar lessons scales that they both learned in class.  The instructor they have has been playing the guitar for twenty five years and is a very good teacher.  He makes sure they practice at least one hour a day or he will not teach them lessons.  My son is really getting good and is thinking about starting a band with a couple of his friends.  I told him they could practice at our house if he wanted.
